Playful veterinary familiarisation - free at VetTrust locations

The first weeks and months of a dog's life are particularly crucial. The so-called imprinting phase determines how relaxed your dog will be with stimuli, impressions, people and other animals later in life. That is why it is so important to prepare the puppy gently and playfully for its future life from the very beginning.

It is important to get the dog used to vet visits so that they can be as free of fear and stress as possible for the rest of its life. Already at home you can start to lift the dog onto a table and "examine" him equipped with treats. Touch his paws, look in his ears, open his mouth and look at his teeth. Be very generous with rewards. This is also a good way to introduce your dog directly to brushing. Try to do the vet training about once a week for a few minutes.

In addition, we are happy to invite you to one of our VetTrust practices for a free vet familiarisation session. In a pleasant atmosphere we will create the first positive links with a visit to the vet. We will carry out small painless examinations and prepare your new family member in a playful and loving way for the serious case. Our aim is for all dogs to come to us wagging their tails and enjoying their visit.

We are here for you. Animal health for life.
